That's why we are:
Being organic has nothing to do with being trendy but about taking a stance. We support our farmers in India so that they can work towards implementing organic farming methods in the future. As a result less valuable drinking water will be wasted and the earth will not be damaged with chemicals. Organic cotton is very light and lovely and soft on the skin. Our styles are comfortable to wear and good for your skin because no pesticides or chemicals are using in the production or manufacturing. Thanks to the good quality our styles continue to look good after they have been washed. The colours stay bright and the prints are durable. We also send out our deliveries with Hermes shipping. It is just as important for Hermes as it is for us to avoid long haul routes so as to keep their Co2 emmissions to an absolute minimum. This is achieved through a large number of site locations so that short access routes and fast delivery are guarenteed.
2. good for the farmers and workers
We pay the farmers more than the minimum wage and enough money so that they can feed their families
and aren't forced to send their children to work. Children belong at school and not in a field. We also pay more than the world trade price for raw cotton and by doing so secure the farmers' livelihoods. With Fairtrade we have a strong partner at our side. They ensure that those who work in production have good social and hygenic conditions. By way of comparison in production towns that don't work with Fairtrade a worker earns in a week what we would spend on a latte macchiato. He must also feed his whole family with this. That's why all of our workers earn enough money from the cotton harvest up until the fabric is printed to provide a life for their families that is above the poverty line.
3. good for the present and for the future
We give our raw material suppliers something back by supporting the educational project Pratham.
Pratham trains women in India to be teachers, organises rooms and school equipment so that they can educate children there in a hands on way. Education is the only way out of poverty. We intend to extend this support. Soon we will also be assisting two further projects and will get our customers even more involved in how the money is spent support
